What to Include in Your Graduation Announcement

The Front:
Make sure to include the following basic information on the front of your graduation announcement so that friends and family can celebrate you accordingly!
- Your full name.
- Some form of celebratory copy: “Graduate!” “Class of 2025” “I did it!”
- The school you are graduating from.
- Show off your smiling face! Your friends and family will love to see an updated photo of you.
- Extra information can include your degree from your high school, college, or master's program you attended.
The Back:
The back of your announcement is the perfect place to share more details of your high school experience, college plans, or job offers accepted. You may not get to invite everyone to your graduation party or may just be keeping it low key with family so use this space to brag on yourself!

Graduation Announcement & Thank You Card Writing Tips
1. Match the Tone to Your Personality
Not every grad is formal—and that’s okay! Whether you're witty, heartfelt, or chill, let your tone shine through in your announcement and thank you cards. A little personality makes your message more memorable.
Formal: With great pride, I announce my graduation from…
Casual: Hey friends! I did the thing—graduated!
2. Keep It Short & Sweet
Most people won’t expect a novel. A few meaningful sentences will go a long way, especially in thank you notes. Bonus: It’s easier to write when you keep it simple.
3. Proofread Before Sending
It’s a big moment—make sure everything’s spelled correctly and names, dates, and locations are accurate. Especially if you're ordering printed cards.
