Being 9 months pregnant myself, I truly understand how important creating the perfect space for your little one is. Not only does it make you feel prepared (ha!) but it gives you a fun project while you patiently await your sweet baby’s arrival. After scrolling through photos from Pinterest, Instagram, and our creative community, I rounded up 7 ways to make a statement in your baby’s nursery!
Make it uniquely you!
@dinasdays hung a Canvas Print with a quote from her favorite Whitney Houston song describing exactly how she feels about her little girl. Incorporating something with meaning will make bringing your little one home extra special.
Try out a theme.
Nurseries are the perfect place to play with a theme in your design. In an effort to make it timeless, keep it minimal with art, shelf decor, and a few accent pieces rather than making the entire room themed. These watercolor prints from Etsy are the perfect touch to this animal-themed nursery.
Incorporate a family photo!
We think incorporating family photos into a nursery is so special. This is the place where your little one will grow, so to be reminded of the people that love them in Frames, Prints, or even a Photo Book displayed on a shelf can make the room special. We love how @jenniferjeffrey_ incorporated her pregnancy announcement photo right above the crib where her little one will dream at night.
Create a gallery wall.
It’s no surprise that we love a gallery wall and we think they are the perfect way to dress up the space above a crib or dresser. @Lolo_Webb had the right idea in her little guy’s room with 3 Wood Frames and statement-making prints she downloaded from Etsy.
Do it yourself!
To add something special and custom to the room, try making your own artwork on a site like Canva and have it printed on the medium of your choice. They have tons of fonts and art elements to choose from to create something unique for your little one.
Use Etsy as a resource.
Downloadable prints from Etsy is a great resource for affordable nursery art. There are so many options to choose from, we personally love how @restoring_home chose to mix in a few different Wood Frame sizes and prints in her daughter’s room to create the perfect nook filled with toys and books.
Let your walls talk!
Quotes, fun sayings, and inspirational art make perfect wall decor in a nursery. We love the mood it sets for the room and how some positive affirmations can create a precious reminder to your little one about just how special they are.
